Moody palettes trade brightness for depth: near-black bases in a spread of undertones, from Black #1B1C2D and Charcoal #1D204D to Navy #1B275A, layered with saturated darks like Forest #236B26, Espresso #3A2317, Indigo #2E348A and deep emerald. Everything sits low on the value scale, so the drama comes from richness and undertone rather than from light, and the eye has to lean in to read one shadow against the next.
